A fire ravages a pallet and furniture warehouse in Dolores

Firefighters from the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium are working to extinguish a fire that started in a warehouse in Dolores that serves as a storage for pallets and furniture, which has spread to a wooden shed, generating "a large amount of smoke".

The fire started this Tuesday, around 4:40 PM, in Rincón de los Pertusas, on plot 52, in the town of Dolores, according to the Consortium in a statement.

The fire originated in a warehouse that serves as storage for pallets and furniture. As it spread, the fire reached a two-story wooden shed, generating "a large amount of smoke visible for several kilometers around".

Upon the arrival of firefighters, they began both extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to the shed and nearby vegetation.

In the ongoing intervention, a command unit, a heavy urban pump, a heavy tanker with a sergeant, two corporals, and six firefighters from the Almoradí and Crevillent stations are participating.
