UEFA has decided to impose a fine of 10,000 euros on Barça and a ban on selling tickets to its fans for the next European away match due to the racist behavior of some of its supporters during the first round match of the new Champions League held in Monaco.

Specifically, in the area of the Louis II Stadium in Monte Carlo where the Barça supporters were located, a banner could be seen reading: 'Flick Heil'. An expression that means 'hail Flick' and has similarities with 'Heil Hitler' proclaimed by the Nazis.

Barça itself condemned this banner energetically the next day. "Indignant. Shameful. Disgust and sadness that someone who claims to love the club acts in this way. Everything has a limit. This cannot happen again. Never again," wrote Barcelona's Institutional Vice President and spokesperson for the Board of Directors, Elena Fort, on her personal X account, with an image of the banner. She emphasized that the club will not tolerate manifestations promoting extremist ideologies and that an investigation will be conducted into what happened.
