PP and Vox Finalise Agreement on New Budget for the Balearic Islands

The Consell de Govern has given the green light this Friday to the agreement reached between PP and Vox to approve a new regional budget project, amounting to 7.4691 billion euros, a 2% increase compared to the 2024 fiscal year.

The President of the Government, Marga Prohens, appeared at a press conference alongside the Minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation, Antoni Costa, acknowledging that negotiations with the third political force have been "complex and comprehensive."

Broadly speaking, the regional government addresses several demands considered by Vox regarding linguistic matters, irregular immigration, and the European Green Deal.

Prohens has committed to promoting specific measures, within the framework of regional competencies, against irregular immigration and in defence of the primary sector. Regarding language, the leader of the Executive stated that PP and Vox have found common ground without each party giving up their "red lines."
