The construction of the new CV-95 bridge by the Regional Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory in San Miguel de Salinas “enters its final stretch now that the beams of the new structure have been placed,” according to María José Martínez Ruzafa, the Director General of Infrastructure and Urban Projects.

Last April, the Consell ratified the emergency declaration for the reconstruction works of the CV-95 bridge over the Rambla de Lo Quiles, at San Miguel de Salinas, amounting to 2,689,301 euros. This decision was made due to severe damage suffered by the infrastructure during the torrential rains of 2019, which caused road collapses, pillar undermining, and vault deterioration, among other structural issues.

Given the state of the bridge, the Regional Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory considered demolishing the previous structure and constructing a new bridge as an emergency measure to be the best alternative rather than repairing it. According to María José Martínez, these works will restore passage over the CV-95 bridge “to ensure access to this infrastructure under safe conditions.”
