Carmencita, a leading spice brand, together with Chocolates Marcos Tonda 1793, a company specialising in the creation of high-quality artisanal chocolates, have joined forces with Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, the brand of the iconic fashion designer, to present their new limited edition 'aghatizado' gourmet pack at the 38th edition of Salón Gourmets, the most important annual showcase of high-end food and beverages.
The two renowned Alicante-based brands, Carmencita and Chocolates Marcos Tonda 1793, have collaborated under the design of Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada to create a limited edition gourmet pack. This pack includes an 80% pure chocolate bar and two Carmencita grinders: one with citrusy, spicy, and slightly bitter black pepper, and another with Himalayan salt from Pakistan, whose crystals were hidden for millions of years in the Kehwra salt mine.
The presentation of the new 'Carmencita and Chocolates Marcos Tonda 1793 by Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada' gourmet pack took place in pavilion 7 at the IFEMA venue in Madrid. The event was attended by fashion designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, alongside the teams from Carmencita and Chocolates Marcos Tonda 1793.
For the fashion designer, "it is a tremendous joy to 'agatize' a pack of salt and pepper. I believe there is no other case in the world where a designer has spices with their brand." She also highlighted Carmencita's trajectory, "historically, spices have had a long journey, from the East to today. Spices are sold as art, for their scents and flavours, and Carmencita has them all." Lastly, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada praised the spice company, "I love working with Spanish companies like this; their products completely transform a dish, and the chocolate with salt is a gastronomic delight."
At the stand, María Escolano from Carmencita's Marketing Department highlighted "the spectacular design, it catches the eye. It's a perfect gift for Mother's Day, for example, it couldn't be better."
Alongside the designer and Carmencita, María Llorca, CEO of Chocolates Marcos Tonda 1793, expressed that they are "very happy, we believe it is the perfect gift. Your chocolate, your pepper, and your salt."
The trend of merging gastronomy and design is becoming increasingly strong, which is why this alliance reinforces the three-pronged commitment to personalisation and creativity in everyday products. In fact, during this first day of the International Food and Beverage Quality Fair, Carmencita has once again reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and excellence in the sector.
Exclusive pack available from Friday, 11th April
