The Fampa Enric Valor has denounced the lack of staff in 16 educational centers in the city of Alicante, a shortage that affects both teaching staff, educators, janitors, and administrative personnel. According to the complaint, this lack of staff creates "problems that severely affect the proper development of academic activities, as well as the well-being of students and the staff who are present."

The list of centers that the group claims are affected by this shortage includes CEE El Somni and Santo Ángel De La Guarda; CEIP Pedro Duque, San Roque, Azorín, Manjón Cervantes, Benalúa, Cristo De La Pau San Joan D'Alacant, Gloria Fuertes, Rabassa, Óscar Esplá, San Francisco de Asís; and IES 8 De Marzo, Jaime II, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Playa San Juan de Alicante.

In centers like IES 8 de Marzo, they claim that a Technology and Digitalization teacher is missing (on paternity leave since October 14), as well as another teacher in the Geography and History area, which would be causing several groups to lose three teaching sessions a week since September 9.

Meanwhile, at CEIP Óscar Esplá, an educator has been missing since September 2 to attend to students with special needs; a member of the administrative management auxiliary staff, who would be shared with another center; as well as unspecified staff shortages because "this year the teaching staff has been drastically reduced."

"Violation of rights"

FAMPA Enric Valor considers that this situation may violate several fundamental rights, such as the right to education, equality, the integral development of the child, as well as the protection of occupational health. They also add that several national and regional laws could be breached, such as Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, on Education (LOE), amended by LOMLOE; or Organic Law 8/1985, of July 3, on the Rights and Freedoms of Students (LODE).

For all these reasons, they consider it "urgent" to take the necessary measures to fill existing vacancies, as well as to strengthen the staff in those centers that need it most, and therefore request the action of the Territorial Directorate of Education.
