No changes announced by RTVE last Friday for 'The TV Family' seem to have taken effect after poor audience results, which were implemented this past Monday. The programme, which after removing its second segment continues to operate as a container for the series 'Wild Valley' and 'The Promise', had to settle this Monday for a 9.3% audience share, attracting 750,000 viewers, mainly due to the performance of the two series, with 8.6% and 13.6% share, respectively.
Meanwhile, the programme's only segment, which aired from 15:58 to 17:05, was watched by 557,000 viewers, achieving a 6.2% share, its third-worst historical figure, ranking fifth among generalist channels. This Monday's programme was also atypical, in the style of 'Socialité', where Inés Hernand, Aitor Albizua, and María Patiño, with a segment of barely an hour, introduced videos and connected with reporters or Kiko Matamoros from the newsroom.
This afternoon, the show was closer to what had been the first segment of 'The TV Family', with a discussion around Mar Flores and Belén Esteban in the kitchen, reminiscent of 'Ni que fuéramos Shhh...'. The reduction in broadcast time has also forced La Osa Producciones to adjust its staff, and according to FormulaTV yesterday, about ten workers have ended their time at 'The TV Family', while others have been relocated to programmes like 'The Promise Club'.
