The National Catholic Confederation of Parents of Families and Students (Concapa) in Alicante held its annual assembly with the traditional 'Pizarra' awards ceremony. One of the awards was given to the Diocese of Alicante-Orihuela, received by Bishop José Ignacio Munilla.

The Diocese was honoured for its 'proximity, approachability, and extraordinary effort in visiting and directly transmitting Christian values, which are a hallmark of education.'

Another recognition by Concapa was awarded to the Regional Ministry of Culture, Education, Universities, and Employment for its 'courage and determination in defending educational freedom and the right of families to choose.' The regional secretary of Education, Daniel McEvoy, accepted the 'Pizarra' award.

The City Council of Alicante was also honoured by Concapa, specifically the Department of Education, for its work in developing and managing municipal competencies in education and 'supporting families in the fight for free and quality education.' Mayor Luis Barcala and Councillor Mari Carmen de España accepted the award.

Additionally, Concapa awarded two 'Pizarra' awards to FCAPA Valencia for its collaboration in 'defending the family and contributing to the common goal of comprehensive and quality education' and to former national president Pedro Caballero for 'always being by our side and continuing to fight for free, modern, and independent concerted education.'
