A Dutch citizen was riding a scooter in Moraira when hooded individuals, disguised as Interpol agents, forcibly stopped him, assaulted him, and robbed him, according to the Civil Guard. The authorities have arrested the alleged criminals, two Estonian men aged 36 and 45. After appearing before the court, the judge has ordered their detention.
The investigation began last October when officers from the Moraira Civil Guard received a report of the assault. Following the attack, the fake Interpol agents (International Criminal Police Organization) fled in a vehicle, which was later located by a Civil Guard patrol, marking the start of the investigation.
Officers from the Moraira Investigation Area were responsible for gathering and analyzing the evidence found, and with the testimonies of witnesses and cooperation with the Teulada Local Police, they managed to identify the suspects, two men who were arrested on October 25.
The detainees, charged with robbery with violence and intimidation, threats, and extortion, have been brought before the Denia Instruction Court No. 2, which has ordered their provisional imprisonment.
