Expansion Works for the CV-743 Road in Teulada-Moraira

Teulada Town Council has announced the commencement of expansion works on the Teulada-Moraira road (CV-743) for this Thursday, 27th March. This project, deemed a crucial improvement for the safety and infrastructure of the municipality, addresses a long-standing demand from local residents, as stated by the council.

In the initial phase of the works, the load-bearing walls of the road expansion project connecting the two urban centres of Teulada Moraira will be constructed, with the ultimate goal of facilitating smoother traffic flow for both residents and visitors.

With the commencement of the works, which are expected to last approximately four months, the road will remain closed to traffic from the Gabriel Miró roundabout to past the curve of the residence in the downward direction (Teulada to Moraira), while the upward lane (Moraira to Teulada) will remain open.

To ensure mobility, two alternative routes have been established. One route is via the road connecting the urban centre of Teulada with the municipality of Benitatxell (CV-740). Informative signs will be placed at convergence points to indicate the alternative detour.

The other route, designated for light traffic, begins from Camí Sant Miquel, continues along Carretera del Pas with a subsequent detour towards Camí Les Rotgetes, and exits at the nautical area. It should be noted that this detour includes narrow sections, so it is recommended to travel only with cars.

The Councillor for Urban Planning, Tony Reig, expresses satisfaction in "fulfilling a historic and necessary demand for our municipality, thus contributing to the development and road safety of Teulada Moraira. This demonstrates our commitment to the well-being and quality of life of our residents and visitors."

It is worth highlighting that these works mark the beginning of the first stage of the Teulada-Moraira road expansion, where the load-bearing walls of the designated areas on the map (phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3) will be constructed. Once these works are completed, the continuation of the road expansion project will proceed.
