Eternal Óscar Plano. The veteran attacking midfielder of Elche reached a symbolic and significant milestone in his sporting career at El Alcoraz in Huesca: 500 official matches as a professional footballer. A journey that speaks of perseverance, commitment, and hard work, of which Elche CF is now an important part.

Out of those 500 matches, 300 have been in LaLiga Hypermotion, a category where Plano has proven to be one of the most established players. In the green-and-white key, the Madrid-born attacker has already played 57 matches wearing the Elche shirt, contributing goals, vision, and absolute dedication in every minute played.

"Since his arrival at the Martínez Valero stadium, Óscar Plano has become a respected figure both inside the locker room and by the fans, thanks to his professionalism and commitment to the badge. We keep adding matches, Óscar!" published Elche on their social media.

The attacker is seeking the fourth promotion of his career and is determined to achieve it. Plano was promoted twice to the First Division with Valladolid and also achieved promotion to the Second Division with Castilla.

That first great joy of his career came when Plano was just 20 years old, and in that Castilla team, he played a secondary role, with only eight starts and two goals. That white reserve team was managed by Toril, and the locker room was brimming with talent with teammates like Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernández, Morata, Omar Mascarell, Lucas Vázquez, Joselu, or Pedro Mosquera.

However, if Plano is identified with any club, it is with Valladolid, as he has worn the white and violet for the last six seasons, two of them in the Second Division, achieving promotion in both. In 2018, he achieved it under the guidance of Sergio González and in 2022 under Pacheta's leadership.

The traumatic and unexpected relegation of last season led the Madrid attacker to seek new challenges, and Elche was the quickest to move to convince him in the summer of 2023.

On another note, the green-and-white coach, Eder Sarabia, requested "sensibility and logic" in the scheduling of the next round of matches through social media. The coach of the Elche team stated that the teams are "in one of the most decisive weeks of the season" without knowing when they will compete again. "Levante has had two days since their last match... We have started training today without knowing when it will be played..." detailed the Basque coach on Sunday.
