As the major days of the Hogueras 2025 approach, the city is already alive with music, fireworks, and festivities. This Saturday, June 14th, one of the most anticipated events for festival-goers will take place: the entry of bands, a parade where the Hogueras commissions showcase their finest attire to the rhythm of their musical groups.
From 6:30 PM, the commissions will follow the official route. The first to march will be the José Ángel Guirao bonfire, leading the parade. Music will be the highlight of this event, commemorating the traditional arrival of bands in Alicante before the main festivities.
During the entry, beauty queens and their court of honour will parade alongside their commissions while their names are announced, marking one of the most emotional moments of the Hogueras. The route connects the Bañuls fountain (in Luceros) with the Town Hall square, passing through Alfonso el Sabio, the Rambla de Méndez Núñez, and Rafael Altamira street. The parade is expected to conclude after 11 PM.
Traffic disruptions due to the entry of bands for Hogueras 2025
Due to this parade, the centre of Alicante will face significant traffic and parking restrictions on the afternoon of Saturday, June 14th. From 5 PM to 10 PM, it will be prohibited to drive or park in Luceros square, Alfonso El Sabio avenue, the Rambla de Méndez Núñez, Rafael Altamira street, and the Town Hall square.
Apart from these closures, other traffic disruptions will include the closure of Estación avenue towards Luceros from the intersection with General O'Donnell street, as well as the closure of Jaime II avenue towards Alfonso El Sabio from San Vicente street, where traffic will be diverted.

Access to Calderón de la Barca street from Vicente Inglada will also be closed, and the Rambla will be blocked at its intersection with San Fernando street, although the latter will remain open. Additionally, pre-closures will be set up on Estación avenue from Salamanca avenue and in Spain square, affecting access from Alcalde Alfonso de Rojas, Pintor Murillo, and Padre Mariana streets.

As part of the operation, the direction of traffic on Bilbao street will be changed between San Fernando and Portal de Elche. Additionally, the bus lane towards Valencia on Juan Bautista Lafora avenue will be occupied, as well as the right lane of San Fernando street between Alberola Romero and María Josefa Agreda y Muñoz.
To facilitate mobility, it is recommended to use alternative routes via the coastal corridor to access areas near the centre, as well as public parking facilities in service. It is also advised to travel via Gran Vía and Vía Parque, which will function as outer ring roads to avoid the area affected by the parade.
