After signing the III Territorial Employment Pact for the city of Alicante at the end of 2023, laboratory activity began until reaching this moment with results. «The objective of the Laboratory is to be a tool at the service of the municipality to promote the development of an active collaboration framework over the territory through which to develop improvements in policies that concern us, always collaboratively and seeking innovative solutions. This requires weaving a long-term network, promoting participation, developing technical means, and gradually advancing until shaping new work dynamics,« highlighted De España.

The councilor responsible for Employment and Development also emphasized that «it is necessary to continue working on these results, advancing in their definition, design, and justification, until turning them into new measures that have a positive impact on job creation and improvement in Alicante, as well as improving public service efficiency.«

The presentation of the report results was made by Mariano Agustín González Chouciño, project coordinator. The proposals, which are starting points for new work processes, consist of developing a system to centralize relevant information for employment policies, promoting youth labor guidance, and supporting generational renewal in the productive fabric.

Additionally, speakers Alain Jordá and Vicente Zapata participated as recognized experts in local development who spoke about experiences, needs, and valuable issues for promoting local development through cooperation and network creation.

The first conclusion presented after the participatory process involves developing a centralized system for information on employment pools, training, services, and business needs. The second proposal focuses on promoting youth labor guidance. It arises from the need to advance in developing youth labor guidance throughout their educational trajectory by improving its connection with local businesses, providing necessary information and sufficient advice.
