Emergency rehabilitation works have been commissioned by the Consell for the central area and west wing of the Integrated Health Centre of Villena, with a budget exceeding 1.4 million euros. During the construction period, affected services will be relocated to the General University Hospital of Elda.
The project also includes drafting services, project management, and safety and health coordination to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services.
The construction involves underpinning the foundation of the central area and west wing. The operation will impact the functional areas of the left wing, including Emergency, Radiology, Laboratory, Short Stay Medical Unit, Observation, as well as Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, and Cardiology consultations.
Other interventions
Currently, works are underway in the southern part of the building affecting the basement archive, the Rehabilitation and Admission Service on the ground floor, and the Specialised Consultations services on the first floor. However, during the execution, new structural issues have been identified on the ground floor of the west wing and central area of the building.
