Elian's British School La Nucía has started the academic year with James Batten as the new headmaster, who joins the institution with a solid international background in education. Focused on promoting comprehensive education and academic excellence, Batten leads a new phase in the institution of the Dukes Education group.

Due to increasing demand, Elian's has opened new groups this school year in Year 2, Year 3, Year 5, and Year 6. Sports, technology, and innovation at the service of education

Elian's British School is committed to sports practice and proudly hosts sports competitions with other schools in the area. This year, it will lead the beach volleyball tournament and an athletics day at the La Nucía Camilo Cano facilities. These activities not only promote physical activity but also strengthen team spirit.

Additionally, internally, during two school days, Elian's students also participate in athletics competitions. In this case, they compete organized in their houses – Owlbert, Owlinci, Kahlowl, and Owlson – accumulating points for their teams and developing bonds of friendship and respect in a healthy competitive environment.

To enhance student talent, Elian's has launched an innovation room this academic year, the new Innovation Room. It is a space designed to boost practical learning through the use of advanced technology. Students have the opportunity to explore the world of robotics, chess, and other practical activities that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The implementation of hands-on activities in this room allows students to explore, create, and solve challenges in an interactive learning environment.

But innovative projects are not only worked on within that specialized classroom; any corner of Elian's is the perfect setting for innovation. Y10 students, guided by Miss Keating, are designing and creating a mud kitchen for the preschool students, which will be part of the school's organic garden and will allow the youngest to enjoy a space where they can grow their own plants and learn about nature.

Events and school days

Elian's British School of La Nucía, through its Student Council, leads numerous charitable initiatives. This term, in support of the SECANET special education center, the Student Council has organized a charity run on December 5th. Over 800 euros have already been raised thanks to the sale of cakes during the recent Halloween celebration, and it is expected that the run will further contribute to this noble cause.
