New Exterior and Interior Design with a 65 Horsepower Engine for the Electric Dacia Spring

Spring, Dacia's first electric model, has made emission-free mobility accessible to as many people as possible within its market area. The Dacia Spring has found its audience because it perfectly meets the needs for economical and efficient emission-free mobility. Its energy efficiency and carbon footprint have been particularly recognised with the maximum score of 5 stars awarded by the independent European body Green NCAP.

Data reported thanks to the vehicle's connectivity shows that daily trips (almost exclusively in urban routes) made by Spring users average 37 kilometres at an average speed of less than 40 km/h. In 75% of cases, the vehicle is recharged in private garages. The reduced weight is the key asset that allows the Spring to express all its qualities. Weighing 984 kilos in the top Extreme trim, it is the only 100% electric vehicle that remains under one tonne. This balance result, combined with the engine's efficiency, allows the Spring to offer low energy consumption, less than 14.6 kWh/100 km. The compact 26.8 kWh battery provides a range of over 220 km for all versions.

To further optimise range, the Spring is equipped for the first time with a regenerative braking system activated by selecting a "B" mode via the new automatic gearbox control. The Dacia Spring comes standard with a 7 kW AC charger that allows the battery to be charged from 20% to 100% from a domestic socket in less than 11 hours, or in 4 hours on a 7 kW wall box. A 30 kW DC charger is also available as an option for fast charging from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.

The entry-level version of the Spring with 45 horsepower is priced at 17,890 euros, excluding promotional or financing discounts with the brand. The most complete Extreme trim, with the 65 horsepower engine, starts from 19,890 euros. Dacia advances in all its models the incentive linked to electric mobility corresponding to the MOVES III programme to those customers who finance their purchase with Mobilize, so they will not have to advance the amount of up to 7,000 euros from MOVES. In addition, the subsidy related to the acquisition and installation of a charging point purchased from Mobilize is also advanced to customers who request it.

Now, the new Dacia Spring takes a step further, becoming even more attractive with a completely renewed and more robust design, equally practical with an exceptional interior volume for its segment, even more versatile with a 65 horsepower engine, but just as efficient thanks to the low weight of its body (less than 1,000 kilos). In the Spring Expression version, it features a 7-inch digital instrument panel, height-adjustable 3-spoke steering wheel, power steering, Media Control system with USB port, speed limiter, speed regulator, radio control on the steering wheel, remote central locking, front electric windows, rear parking sensors, 12V socket, manual air conditioning, 15-inch wheels (with the 65 HP engine), cruise control, electric mirrors and rear windows, Media Nav Live multimedia system with a 10-inch central screen, 2 USB ports and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

New driving aids are added to the Dacia Spring's safety equipment, highlighting the assisted emergency braking system (with detection of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcycles), traffic sign recognition with speed alert, rear parking assistance, emergency stop signal, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, driver attention monitoring system, and eCall emergency call.

Inside the Dacia Spring, all elements have been redesigned, as well as the exterior, where the roof is the only body part retained from the previous model. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, both to integrate Dacia's new interior design, characterised by a much more horizontal architecture, and to integrate a new range of digital screens. The Spring receives a digital and customisable instrument panel with a 7-inch screen in all versions and a large 10-inch central multimedia screen in the top trim level. Located behind the new height-adjustable steering wheel, these colour screens display essential information simply and effectively. It can be customised to show additional data such as remaining range, energy consumption, or driving aids.

Particularly compact (3.70 metres long) and equipped with one of the best turning radii in its segment (4.80 metres between walls), the new Spring demonstrates exceptional agility in urban traffic, making it especially easy to drive. The electric Spring expands its range of options thanks to the incorporation of the more powerful engine, which develops 65 horsepower and offers more dynamic performance, achieving, for example, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 14 seconds. Even more accessible and adapted to urban use, the Spring can be equipped with the 45 HP engine, which records a 0 to 100 km/h time of less than 20 seconds. With 308 litres (6% more compared to the previous model), and even 1,004 litres with the rear seats folded, the new Spring has the best load volume in its category. Additionally, the additional storage spaces (double glove box, door compartments, etc.) with a total volume of almost 33 litres also exceed the segment's standards.
