Elderly Man Rescued After Being Hit by Tram in El Campello

The Civil Guard and Local Police rescued an elderly man, approximately 80 years old, early Saturday morning after he was hit by a tram and became trapped at the level crossing on Germaníes Street, in the town centre, according to the Town Hall.

Immediately after the incident, officers from both forces arrived at the scene and freed the elderly man, who was urgently taken to the hospital.

Currently, the circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear. The Town Hall reports that the tram was moving at a very slow speed, which prevented the man from being completely run over, although the rescue was complex.
