The Footwear Museum of Elda was the setting for the highly anticipated event held on the morning of this Sunday, September 1, where the most significant details of the upcoming Elda Fallas 2024 were revealed. The event was presided over by the Senior Fallas Queens of Elda and their Honor Ladies, accompanied by David Guardiola, Councilor for Festivities of the Elda City Council.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the promotional poster for Elda Fallas 2024, a creation by Andrea Ortuño Tortosa, a young artist from the neighboring town of Salinas. The poster successfully captures the essence of the festival, combining elements such as fire, music, gunpowder, and traditional attire.

Subsequently, the official festival magazine was presented. This publication not only chronicles the past year but also previews what residents and visitors can look forward to during these Fallas. This year, the magazine features a very special collaboration: children from the festival shared their vision of Fallas both in the present and as they imagine it 50 years into the future. The event was indeed hosted by these young members from various committees, adding a fresh and emotional touch.

The most anticipated moment came with the announcement of the person who will proclaim Elda Fallas 2024. The responsibility to reveal the name fell to Adriana, Children's Town Crier 2024, who, with great emotion, introduced this year's town crier's background. Carmen Beamud Huertas, a member and current president of Falla Estación, will be this year's town crier. With a long and distinguished career in the festival, Carmen will deliver her proclamation on September 21 from the Town Hall square.

To conclude the event, the official book was handed over to the City Council, invited entities, collaborators, and Fallas committees, thus marking the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable festival.

Following the ceremony, there was an inauguration of the ninot exhibition, where Elda's Senior Fallas Queens and their Honor Ladies cut the ribbon to open the display to the public. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy ninots presented by various committees that will be on display at the Footwear Museum until September 25. During this period, visitors can vote for their favorite ninot, which will earn salvation from being burned.

This event served as a perfect prelude to Elda Fallas 2024, an event that promises to be memorable and full of tradition.
