Launched by the Department of Health, along with the Youth and Social Welfare sectors, Elda has initiated a campaign for the Moors and Christians festivities. The aim is to raise awareness about the risks associated with drug consumption, alcohol abuse, and unprotected sex.
Health Councillor Elizabeth Belda, accompanied by Youth Councillor Anabel García, explained that "the campaign aims to ensure safe, healthy, and accessible festivities for everyone with the slogan 'We Commit to Healthy Festivities. Control Your Drinking. Minors 0.0'."

In this regard, the councillor indicated that "immediate medical attention points will be set up in strategic areas, with additional ambulances and mobile teams from the Red Cross and Civil Protection." Furthermore, an informative campaign has been launched to promote responsible alcohol consumption and drug prevention. This campaign includes the distribution of condoms, posters, and educational materials at key points such as festival headquarters and the establishment of Violet and Rainbow Points.
Meanwhile, Anabel García invites all young people "to live their sexuality with freedom and responsibility," reminding them that "condoms remain the best barrier against sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies."
The Youth Councillor also highlighted the need for caution regarding alcohol consumption at a young age, advising not to lose sight of drinks to prevent new drugs and chemical submission, while promoting a culture of mutual care. During the festivities, there will be information points, as well as Violet and Rainbow Points, to ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities healthily and freely.
