Elda brings summer schools to neighbourhoods

Everything is ready in Elda for the 2025 edition of the summer schools to begin in the town's neighbourhoods on June 30th. The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Lorena Pedrero, announced this municipal proposal on Tuesday, which will run from June 30th to August 1st.

To support work-life balance, the council has brought this activity to different areas of the city, which will take place in seven social centres in Elda. The initiative, completely free of charge, is aimed at children aged 5 to 12 and aims to facilitate family balance during the summer.

According to Pedrero, activities will be held from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:00, except at the Estación-4 Zonas Social Centre, where they will take place in the afternoon from 17:00 to 19:00.

"This summer school has been highly valued in previous editions and returns with strength to offer a safe, educational, and fun space for the little ones, as well as supporting many families, especially grandparents who take care of their grandchildren at this time of year," the councillor highlighted.

Registrations will be formalised on the same start day, June 30th, at the participating social centres. Families must indicate who will pick up the children and if they have any food intolerances or other specific needs. Registration will remain open until all available places are filled.

Pedrero encouraged families to participate: "We want children to enjoy a summer full of workshops, games, treasure hunts, and children's activities. It is an opportunity for them to socialise, learn, and have fun close to home."
