Germán Valera is set to become Elche's first signing for the 2025-26 season. The winger from Murcia has parted ways with Valencia, a club that continued to overlook him as it did last January, and has signed with Elche until 2028.

Valera played a key role in the second half of the season, and his contribution was crucial for securing promotion, not just because of the three goals and three assists he provided, but due to the quality boost his arrival brought during the winter transfer window. Coach Eder Sarabia was clear about wanting the Murcian in the top-flight squad, and so it will be.

Meanwhile, Elche has announced that last season, 6,837 tickets were sold for the away section, not counting fans who purchased tickets in the home sale, "establishing Elche as one of the clubs with the largest presence of supporters in rival stadiums in LaLiga Hypermotion."

The support was such that the away section was filled in eight rival stadiums: Levante UD, UD Almería, Granada CF, SD Huesca, Albacete Balompié, Deportivo de La Coruña, CD Castellón, and CD Eldense. These trips were not only massive but also often took place under particularly demanding conditions due to distance or timing.

In Miranda de Ebro, over 120 fans travelled the 750 kilometres separating Elche from the Burgos city. Also noteworthy were the more than 350 supporters in Huesca; over 200 in Burgos; over 400 in Málaga, during the early matchdays; and over half a thousand in Cartagena, in a match played on a Wednesday, late at night.

One of the most impactful moments of the season was in A Coruña, where the team achieved promotion. More than 1,500 Elche fans travelled to Galicia, covering nearly a thousand kilometres. To facilitate this historic journey, the club organised a long-distance charter train from Elche's High-Speed station.

"This collective effort would not have been possible without the direct involvement of the club, which allocated a total of 43,970 euros solely to support the fans' travels. This figure reflects Elche CF's real commitment to its people, working hand in hand with the Grada de Animación Fondo Sur 1923 and the Elche CF Supporters Federation. The investment allowed for the chartering of buses, reducing travel costs, and organising initiatives like the aforementioned charter train, enabling thousands of Elche fans to be with their team in every away battle," highlights the Martínez Valero entity.

"From Elche CF, we deeply appreciate the commitment, passion, and sacrifice of all the Elche fans who have travelled across Spain to support our team. You are an essential part of this journey. The union between fans and club has once again been one of our greatest strengths," concludes the club.
