Elche is set to overhaul its squad following promotion to La Liga. Owner Christian Bragarnik faces the significant challenge of establishing the team in the top tier and is keen to avoid another relegation, which would be a step backwards. The task is daunting due to the fierce competition in La Liga, but the roadmap is clear and hinges on successful signings. Although not officially announced by the club, it is assumed that the forward line will be completely revamped.
Sory Kaba returns to UD Las Palmas, "El Canario" Álvarez also heads back to Sassuolo, and the Spanish-Moroccan Mourad is not in the plans for La Liga. All three played crucial roles in the promotion, performing with varying success, and fulfilled the roles set by coach Eder Sarabia. However, the decision to renew the forward line has been made, and barring any surprises, none of the three will be part of the new team.
One name that frequently arises in Elche's circles is Lucas Boyé. The Argentine striker was transferred to Granada, and a reverse move could be possible as the Nazari team remains in the second tier, while Boyé seeks to shine in the top flight. He is not short of suitors, and the summer promises to be long for the Santa Fe native, who scored 10 goals this season. Boyé has a release clause of 10 million euros, but 30% of his rights belong to Elche, making a return to Martínez Valero feasible for nearly the same amount he was sold to Granada. Boyé's value has not diminished over the years; he remains a sought-after player and is on the radar of La Liga teams like Alavés, Getafe, and Rayo Vallecano, among others.
Meanwhile, the Elche club is still celebrating the promotion achieved in A Coruña, with no player movements announced, nor the renewal of coach Eder Sarabia, which was assumed during the celebrations. Elche has also not released season ticket prices, a much-anticipated announcement by fans who supported the team in the second tier and believe it's time to enjoy the top flight.
