Elche City Council Provides Free Buses for Fans

Elche City Council, through the Department of Public Services, has made free buses available to Elche CF fans this Sunday to travel to the Elche-High Speed station located in Matola for the match between the Elche team and Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña.

Claudio Guilabert, Councillor for Public Services, stated that the free urban buses will depart on Sunday from the Elche Bus Station between 5:00 and 6:15 am. For the return journey, the vehicles will pick up fans at the Matola station to transport them back to the Bus Station.

Guilabert considers the departure point "ideal" as it offers parking at the Miguel Hernández University, just a few meters away, where those travelling to A Coruña can park their private cars.

The match between Deportivo de La Coruña and Elche CF will be the last of the season, taking place next Sunday, 1st June at 18:30. In this match, the Elche team is vying for direct promotion to the First Division of Spanish football. Elche City Council has also granted special permission to the city's hospitality sector to extend their terraces for those wishing to watch the match in bars, cafes, and restaurants.

Meanwhile, the Standing Committee of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sport has declared the Riazor match high-risk due to the massive movement of Elche fans for what could be a historic occasion.

Elche will charter a train on Sunday with a capacity for 507 people, aiming to facilitate the travel of its fans to A Coruña to witness the match against Depor at Riazor. However, due to high demand for this important match, Elche has been compelled to establish objective criteria to organize this travel.

Thus, those season ticket holders who have accompanied the team on at least four away trips during the current 2024/2025 season will have priority in purchasing their ticket and train seat, or just the ticket.

The price for each seat is 120 euros, including the ticket, and if only purchasing the ticket, the price will be 20 euros. Both the right to purchase the train ticket with entry and the individual ticket will be personal and non-transferable.
