Elche will transform into the centre of international business on May 21 and 22 with the arrival of the 8th edition of the IMEX Comunitat Valenciana Fair. This event targets companies seeking growth through internationalisation.
This gathering will take place at the 'Ciutat d'Elx' Congress Centre on May 21 (from 9am to 7pm) and May 22 (from 9am to 2pm). Following the positive response from regional businesses at last year's IMEX business day in Elche, the upcoming edition of the IMEX Comunitat Valenciana Fair, co-organised with the Miguel Hernández University Scientific Park, will be larger in scale than the previous business day.
The fair will feature an exhibition area with 27 stands, a comprehensive programme of content including round tables and conferences, and representatives from over 25 countries. Additionally, the Logistics Forum will take place on the afternoon of the first day of the Fair.
The exhibition area will be open on May 21 from 9am to 7pm and on May 22 from 9am to 2pm. Access will be free upon registration on the event's website, which will feature a wide range of programmes with up to six round tables and 34 international business conferences and workshops, involving 60 speakers.
On May 21, the first day of the event, the main programme will be held in the Congress Centre auditorium, featuring the institutional act and six round tables (in the morning) and the "Logistics Forum" (in the afternoon). These tables will discuss resources and support available for companies' international expansion, business strategies in the Agro-food and Children's Product sectors, Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a new model for internationalisation, and financial resources for international growth. Additionally, Inocencio Arias, diplomat and former Spanish ambassador to the UN, will deliver a lecture titled "Putin, Trump and Us".
On May 22, 14 conferences will take place: seven in the "country room" and another seven in the "services for internationalisation room". Furthermore, around 20 brief workshops will be held over the two days at some exhibitors' stands, such as those offered by sponsors CaixaBank and Illice Universal Logistics, and collaborators Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) and PADIMA.
The event is expected to gather economic and commercial representatives from over 25 countries, allowing entrepreneurs to hold personal meetings with them. Requests for meetings can be made through the event's website. Meetings can already be requested with representatives from Angola, Algeria, Bolivia, Chile, China, South Korea, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Singapore, Taiwan, Uruguay, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, pending final additions.
The IMEX-Elche Fair is organised by IMEX-Impulso Exterior and the Miguel Hernández University Scientific Park, and is sponsored by CaixaBank and Illice Universal Logistics. Collaborators include the Elche City Council, the Valencian Community CEEIS Network, CEDELCO, the Hispano-Algerian Trade and Industry Circle, Correos Express, Dostintas Comunicación, Dutic Consulting, Evolution, Gertuko, Jovempa, Iba Uruguay, ICO, OEPM, PADIMA, and Perspectiva Asia.
Also noteworthy is the collaboration of some embassies in Spain, such as those of Panama and Angola, and the participation of seven companies from the PCUMH, including E-zero, Huerto Gourmet, MATCH biosystems, Mommus Foods, Prospera Biotech, Oscillum, and Velet Cosmetics.
