Physia, a startup from the Miguel Hernández University Science Park (PCUMH), has recently closed a funding round worth €300,000. This investment included participation from well-known Health sector Business Angels such as Gianluca Rossi, Pedro Rubio, Álex Vallés, and Ana Santonja. Additionally, the startup-focused fund Bcombinator, with contributions from Erik Brieva, Andrés Echecopar, and Jordi Martín del Val among others, and the public entity ENISA, also took part.

This financial boost will allow the company to continue developing and optimising its patient management software aimed at automating processes in the healthcare sector through Artificial Intelligence. Specifically, the PCUMH company will be able to enhance key areas such as functionalities, customisation and automation capabilities, and marketing.

Moreover, aspects like Human Resources, an area where the company seeks to incorporate technical development and customer success profiles to optimise user experience and sustain solid growth, will also benefit.

As the company's CEO, Marcos Valera, points out, this funding round represents a significant milestone for the firm, not only because it will enable them to advance and grow, but also due to the level of support and backing it signifies. "Our initial goal was to reach €200,000, and we ultimately managed to secure €300,000, thus exceeding our own expectations," he notes. He adds, "This strong level of support and trust from our investors and public entities like ENISA makes us value the project even more, confirms that we are on the right track, and verifies that our platform is necessary and useful for the Health sector."

A Technology for Patient Management Physia has developed software that automates tasks and processes in the healthcare field, such as appointment management, clinical administration, or patient follow-up, among others. This translates into optimised time and efficiency for health professionals, while also providing personalised care to patients.

Among Physia's main features are 24/7 patient support services, an initial interview for data collection and analysis, personalised routines and advice, continuous monitoring, and automation of administrative and clinical tasks such as appointment management, billing, and scheduling.

In this regard, it is noteworthy that it is also suitable for any medical specialty, as it is versatile software capable of adapting to various disciplines within the Health sector. Another added value is that the tool can be used both on a web platform and via WhatsApp, offering users flexibility for integration. This innovation led the company to be one of the winners of the 13th UMH Startup Creation Marathon.
