Elche City Council has approved the expansion of the Business Park, which will involve an investment of 41.5 million euros. The ratification of the Detailed Study for block 2 of sector E-49 of the General Plan marks the final step in the planning phase.
The municipal government has positively valued this "further step towards the completion of this important project for Elche, which is crucial for encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in the city." The Councillor for Municipal Strategy, Francisco Soler, stated that it will allow entrepreneurs who invest in the city "to have industrial land for the establishment of new companies in our municipality and to promote economic development."
Soler explains that the process "has involved modifying the central block of the expanded area, which was initially designed as a single unit and is now divided into three, intersected by roads already predefined by the sector's partial plan." These works will make it "more aligned with the demands of companies, thus facilitating their establishment."
The new project involves an investment of 41.5 million euros and covers an area of 569,000 square meters. Currently, it hosts around 700 companies and 13,000 workers.
The Deputy Spokesperson for Vox and Councillor for Economic Promotion, Samuel Ruíz, indicated that this approval "is a firm step that will translate into an investment of 41.5 million euros, which will have a very positive impact on the municipality." Thus, the future expansion "will be key to accommodating more companies, boosting economic development, generating employment and opportunities, and attracting new investment."
