Elche faces a crucial match this Sunday (18:30 hours) against Mirandés at Martínez Valero. Having accumulated only four points out of fifteen, the pressure on coach Eder Sarabia is mounting, and the Basque manager needs all his players fit to spark a reaction.

The team returned to training this Wednesday, with all eyes on Áleix Febas and Yago Santiago, who missed the last two matches due to muscle problems. The midfielder and winger were injured days before the visit to Zaragoza and have been sidelined since. Yago Santiago was diagnosed with a microtear in the rectus femoris of his right leg, while Aleix Febas also suffers from a microtear, but in the long adductor of his left leg.

Since these are not severe injuries, both players, who were starters for coach Sarabia in the first three games, have a chance to be included in the squad for the match against Mirandés, depending on their progress in the coming days.

Elche, which trained behind closed doors at Díez Iborra field in the Ciudad Deportiva, also welcomes back forward Óscar Plano for Sunday’s game. Plano served a one-match suspension against Granada after being sent off in Zaragoza, though his inclusion in the starting eleven remains uncertain.

The only confirmed absences for Elche are midfielder Raúl Guti, recovering from knee surgery, and full-back Carlos Clerc, who underwent bilateral pubic osteopathy surgery during pre-season.

Additionally, Elche will perform its traditional floral offering to the city's Patroness, the Virgin of Assumption, next Thursday, September 19th at the Basilica of Santa María. Starting at 12:30 hours, the club will pay homage and respect to one of Elche's most iconic symbols.

The event will be led by Elche president Joaquín Buitrago. Accompanying him will be members of the sports department, youth academy players, first-team squads (both male and female), the Genuine team captain along with their coach, and captains of Juvenil A and Juvenil B teams who will all participate in the floral tribute to wish for a successful season.
