The Director General of Teaching Staff, Pablo Ortega, met with unions at the Sectorial Table this Thursday, where he shared the draft proposals for the new Staffing Order for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Director General agreed with the unions to hold a meeting in the coming days to negotiate specific aspects of the new proposal, while reminding them that the current staffing agreement ends this summer.

From the Department of Education they explain that the new order proposes a new distribution of teaching staff according to certain criteria for each educational stage or modality in the Valencian Community.

In this regard, the Director General of Teaching Staff stated that 'criteria have been determined for each stage with the aim of providing an efficient and modern human resources management model that offers a quality educational response. The Department proposes an order that provides stability in determining teaching staff.'

'The new regulation addresses the current needs of educational centres and provides them with greater autonomy so that principals can choose the specialty of teachers. This way, the centre is given the opportunity to bring more coherence to its educational project,' added Ortega.
