73 drivers were brought before the court in the province of Alicante last April for road safety offences. This was stated by the Guardia Civil in a communiqué, specifying the types of these offences: in April, action was taken against 33 drivers for lacking a permit or licence, 33 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 3 for driving with drugs in their system, 2 for speeding, and 1 for reckless driving.
Throughout the Valencian Community, a total of 203 drivers were brought before the court as alleged perpetrators of road safety offences: 92 for driving without a permit or licence (of which 41 were for total loss of points, 8 for being provisionally disqualified by judicial decision, 2 for being permanently disqualified by judicial decision, and 41 for never having obtained a permit or licence).
Action was also taken against 98 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 6 for reckless driving, 2 for speeding, and 5 for driving with drugs in their system.
