During a traffic control operation in Elche, two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. They also violated other regulations, such as driving without the necessary license. Additionally, one of the individuals had drugs ready for sale in the car.
The incident occurred during a police checkpoint on Avenida Alcalde Ramón Pastor. There, officers from the Elche Local Police detained two drivers who tested positive for drug use.
The first driver, aged 34, also presented a forged driving license to the officers, leading to his arrest for alleged document forgery and road safety violations.
The second individual, aged 41, was found with a plastic bag containing a significant amount of marijuana, a second bag with amphetamines, and a large sum of cash in small bills, along with other items used for drug trafficking. Consequently, the officers arrested him for an alleged public health offense.
