Car enthusiasts who have accumulated a few years might relive dream times with the new exhibition Mercedes-Benz is preparing under the title "Youngtimer," which will be open until November 2, 2025. However, to enjoy these "gems," one must travel to the brand's museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

The special "Youngtimer" exhibition at the Mercedes-Benz Museum goes back 20 years and presents this new special exhibition with much color, lightness, contemporary pieces, and ten vehicles from the 1990s and 2000s.

The young classics in Collection Room 5 narrate the story of their era in elaborately designed thematic islands. "Easy Life" pays homage to the 1990s with the SLK (170 series) and the CLK Cabriolet (208 series), two icons of the product initiative. "Supersonic," featuring the 190 E 2.5 EVO II (201 series), the E 500 Limited (124 series), and the SLR McLaren Roadster (199 series), represents the harmony between performance and the joy of innovation. The powerful E 60 AMG saloon (210 series) is the centerpiece of the individual and creative "Subculture."

The CL 600 (215 series) and the CLS 350 CGI (219 series) demonstrate luxurious and elegant sportiness in the "Refinement" section. Lastly, "Space" focuses on visionary approaches in technology and design with the SL 500 (129 series) and the Vision R 320 CDI (251 series).

Additionally, the large glass cubes of the Museum's parking lot will display five more young classics until at least mid-October 2025. The following models can be admired: a 160 "Häkkinen" (168 series), a CL 500 (140 series), an ML 500 (163 series), a Vision CLK 320 CDI (209 series), and a C 55 AMG (203 series). The presentation is also unusual, as each vehicle is presented as a model car in a large "sales packaging." Another young classic will be displayed on the "Classics" island, near the escalator between levels 0 and 1, until at least mid-June 2025: the A-Class HyPer prototype (168 series).

Each of these young classics tells its own exciting story. The CL 600, for example, was the first vehicle of the C 215 series at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999 and boasts exceptional equipment.

Conceptual vehicles like the A-Class HyPer, the Vision R 320 CDI, the Vision CLK 320 CDI Cabriolet, and the CLS 350 CGI showcased driving innovations that were significant at the time. The A 160 "Häkkinen" was one of only 125 vehicles manufactured with the famous racing driver's name on both sides, and it also bears his signature on the bonnet and steering wheel.

The special "Youngtimer" exhibition offers fun and entertainment at various interactive stations with artificial intelligence, such as the arcade racing game in the style of the 90s or the creation of a short video clip. With the "Face Swap" tool, visitors can use artificial intelligence to integrate their face into existing images, and at the "Refinement" station, they can create a dream image with a young classic.
