A strong wind of change is blowing at Eldense following their relegation. The drop to Primera RFEF has shaken the foundations of a club that is on the verge of being sold, as its owner Pascual Pérez is clear that it's time to step aside.

Eldense has sought to send a message of hope and optimism to its fans through a letter, following their confirmed relegation after two promising seasons in LaLiga Hypermotion, during which the fans have once again been awakened in the shoemaking city.

"With a heavy heart" and "a broken soul," the Alicante club addressed its fans to express that "it pains us to accept that we are leaving LaLiga Hypermotion" and, from this pain, "we sincerely thank our season ticket holders for supporting this badge" during this journey through professional football.

The letter to the fans continued, recalling that "it has been two seasons among the 42 best teams in our country" and acknowledged that "we made mistakes, we erred, but we never failed to give our all with humility, courage, and the pride of representing Elda and the oldest club in the province of Alicante across Spain."

The club appreciates the growth Eldense has experienced during its time in LaLiga Hypermotion, emphasizing that now "we cannot allow the flame of our sportsmanship to be extinguished in our streets, nor stop teaching our children to love this badge because Deportivo is not just football, it is identity, it is sentiment, it is family, it is history, and it is community."

From Eldense, they urge to "rebuild this dream" and to make it possible again, the club asks the fans "to be seen around the city with our badge on your chest, it makes us feel invincible. The pride of being a Deportivo fan knows no borders. Elda beats with a single heart, and that blue and red heart always roars again. We will return," concludes the letter.

Everything seems to indicate that Pascual Pérez's days as the owner of Eldense are numbered, as negotiations for the sale of the club are advanced and could be finalized for an amount close to four million euros. As expected, there will be an exodus in the shoemaking squad, and the players are already seeking new teams.
