Venezuelans were left without the migratory protection they previously had in the United States yesterday. President Donald Trump revoked the measure approved by Joe Biden shortly before leaving the White House, which allowed more than 600,000 people from the Caribbean country to live and work in the US.

"The people of this country want this trash out. They want their communities to be safe," stated Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Simultaneously, Trump announced yesterday that among his objectives to combat illegal immigration is to have the military prison at Guantanamo, typically reserved for terrorism suspects, ready to house foreigners in irregular situations.

"Today, I will sign an order directing the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the facilities to accommodate 30,000 migrants in Guantanamo Bay," he declared.
