The Federation of the Fogueres de Sant Joan and the Remigio Soler committee met on Monday afternoon with the Juntos Avanzamos neighbourhood association of San Juan beach to discuss the proposed future location for the bonfire setup.
The Remigio Soler bonfire has proposed Torero Luis Francisco Esplá street as the site for their adult and children's bonfires, which has been endorsed by the Federation, with the final approval decision resting with the Alicante City Council.
This meeting, attended by the presidents of the Federation, David Olivares, of the bonfire, Daniel Moya, and of the neighbourhood entity, José Caracena, aimed to "address residents' concerns about the future location" of the bonfire setup.
The festival leader used the meeting to bring the Alicante Bonfires closer to the residents of Pau 5 and explain "what a traditional racó is," while highlighting the economic boost a committee brings to the local businesses.

Following this, an agreement was reached between residents and festival organisers. "We appreciate the opportunity to dialogue," Caracena emphasised, as his neighbourhood entity is committed to "ensuring the well-being of all residents of San Juan beach."
This meeting also arose due to "various complaints" the neighbourhood association received about "potential disturbances related to noise and other factors the bonfire might cause." Therefore, the three-way meeting served to establish "a constructive dialogue to find solutions that satisfy both residents and the committee."

Thus, with this agreement reached, the Remigio Soler bonfire will propose to the Alicante City Council to set up their bonfire on Torero Luis Francisco Esplá street, debuting with artists Lorenzo Santana for the adult and Sergio Gómez for the children's categories, both in the sixth category.
