The presiding judge of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 in Villena, acting as duty judge, received the four individuals arrested following a brawl between two family groups that resulted in the death of a 42-year-old woman, as confirmed by the TSJ.
The judge has ordered the provisional detention, without bail, of one of the suspects, a 23-year-old, who is considered by investigators to be the main perpetrator of the crime. He is now under investigation in an open case, initially, and subject to further qualification, for the crime of homicide and a crime of tumultuous affray.
The other three detainees—two men and a woman—have been granted provisional release with precautionary measures, including restraining orders to stay more than 300 meters away and a ban on communication with various victims. These three individuals are being investigated in this initial stage of the proceedings for crimes of assault and tumultuous affray and, in one case, also for the crime of threats, according to the same sources.
