On October 17, 1944, Ángel Papadópoulos Dordid, known artistically as Ángel Cristo, was born. This Thursday, the same day the tamer, who passed away in May 2010, would have turned 80, his son, Ángel Cristo Jr., will say "I do" to his partner, Ana Herminia, a woman who came into his life during a difficult time and has become his most unconditional support in his conflict with his mother, Bárbara Rey, and his sister, Sofía Cristo.

The event will take place at the La Vega de Henares complex, located on the La Oruga estate and surrounded by more than 500 hectares of nature on the banks of the Henares River. A place known to the pink press as it was the same one chosen by Belén Esteban to say "I do" to Miguel Marcos in June 2019. The couple will marry in the Hermitage of Santa María and continue the celebration in the main hall of El Casón, a stately building that belonged to a convent of the Trinitarian Fathers. A space that can accommodate 600 diners at the table and up to 1,200 guests in cocktail style, although Ángel and Ana Herminia's wedding will be much more intimate.

About 130 guests are expected to attend, including José Manuel Parada and Jenny Llada, once friends of Bárbara Rey who now side with her son in the controversy surrounding the vedette's relationship with King Juan Carlos and the alleged blackmail of the monarch. Also expected are the new friends the tamer's son and his partner made during their time on 'Survivors': Javier Ungría, Aurah, Gorka, Rubén Torres, or Lorena Morlote, who will also be in charge of the bride's hairstyle and makeup.

The happy couple has shared some details about their big day: "A party with flamenco and rock, arepas and ham. A simple, family wedding with fewer than 130 guests," Ángel detailed. Ana Herminia, for her part, has given some hints about her dress, without revealing the big secret: "The dress is like a princess's, but more of a Latin princess, and very beautiful."

It has also been revealed who the godparents will be. As is tradition, Ana Herminia will walk down the aisle with her father, while Ángel Cristo, with his relationship with his mother completely broken and no signs of reconciliation, will be accompanied by his best friend, Cristina Peinado, to whom he has a very special affection.

Major Absences

Recently, the wedding invitation was also leaked, thanks to which we learned that the couple will provide a bus for their guests to travel to the estate where the event will take place, starting at seven in the evening and expected to end around four in the morning. However, what caught the most attention was the notice included: "Important information: As you know, the wedding is exclusive, and on that day, mobile phones will not be allowed; they must be left at the door, with access to them at any time. We appreciate your understanding, rest assured that photos will not be lacking." A request that has caused a division of opinions among those who appreciate the naturalness and those who flatly reject the imposition.

During the ceremony, eyes will also be on Bárbara Rey and Sofía Cristo. Neither of them has been invited, nor were they willing to attend. The interview given by Ángel in which he recounted more than questionable behaviors of his mother when he was a child caused an initial estrangement. Subsequent interventions in which he accused the vedette of using her son to take intimate photographs intended to blackmail King Juan Carlos ended up destroying the relationship. Far from wanting to see him at the altar on his big day, Bárbara hopes to find him in the dock as she plans to file a lawsuit against him.

For his part, Ángel does not mention his mother or sister when asked if he will miss anyone at his wedding, taking the opportunity to remember a good friend who passed away and those who, for personal reasons or distance, will not be able to attend. Both he and Ana Herminia are determined that nothing will spoil their happiness on such a special day.
