Desirée Pinilla López: "The Cremà is a Magical Night Beyond Words"

Desirée Pinilla López wore the bellea sash for the first time in 2024. This Alicante native has been involved in the Alicante Bonfires for two decades and had the honour of representing Don Bosco during the last festival.

From her festive journey, this young woman from Alicante highlights having been an honorary maid, a child president, and an honorary maid again. Additionally, she is experiencing a new adventure as a bellea del foc candidate, with emotions running high.

This feeling is "continuous." For Desirée, the Alicante Bonfires are "living all year surrounded by beautiful people, the smell of gunpowder, and vibrant music." Moreover, what she cherishes most is the cremà, "a magical night full of sensations that I cannot describe with words."

In this regard, Desirée Pinilla López shares how she experiences each night of June 24th: surrounded by all her people "watching how a whole year culminates and another begins." However, just before lighting the firecracker, she takes the opportunity to place her wishes inside the bonfire "so they come true," something that excites her.

From her festive memories, this Alicante native recounts an anecdote from a few years ago at her racó, during the main days. Due to the rain that fell one night, the orchestra could not perform. However, "we grabbed the speaker and placed it under the tent" to enjoy the music "as if nothing had happened, always cheerful as our motto characterises us."
