Dénia is one of the seven municipalities in the Valencian Community that have secured grants for conservation efforts of historical, cultural, and artistic heritage, under the Cultural 2% Programme launched by the Government.

The funded project aims to enhance the military architecture of the Devesa Tower and the Terra Battery through restoration work on these fortification elements, which are in a very poor state of conservation. It will also facilitate the development of new historical-artistic itineraries related to the new military strategies of the 17th-19th centuries.

The grant amounting to €637,042 is allocated for the restoration of the Devesa Tower and the Terra Battery, representing 70% of the project's budget, which is approximately one million euros.

The Dénia City Council announces that the new Interpretation Centre, located in the eastern gallery of the Palace at the summit of the monument, will soon be inaugurated within the Castell. Access to the Interpretation Centre requires visitors to traverse the upper enclosure of the Castell from west to east, where the elements to be restored are situated, thereby improving this route.
