The Deputy Secretary of Regional and Municipal Policy and Electoral Analysis of the PP, Elías Bendodo, expressed his solidarity this Sunday with the President of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, following the burning of a photograph of him at an event organized by the Arran collective during the Gràcia neighborhood festivities in Barcelona. At the same time, he demanded that the President of the Catalan Generalitat, Salvador Illa, and the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, condemn these acts.

"Where are these two so-called democratic socialists who now hide when it matters," Bendodo questioned this Sunday in Alhaurín El Grande (Málaga), where he participated in the PP Málaga's political course commencement event alongside the President of the Andalusian PP, Juanma Moreno, and the provincial President of the PP, Patricia Navarro.

Celebration of Change in the Community

Thus, he expressed from the national direction of the PP "solidarity and support" for the Valencian 'popular' leader, "who is doing such a good job because change also came to the Valencian Community after many years of negative socialism."

He criticized that there is a "new expert at sitting on the fence in Spain, which is Salvador Illa." "In politics, you cannot sit on the fence," he warned, reiterating his demand for Illa and the Mayor of Barcelona to "condemn this action against a president of a regional government."

"Where are these two so-called democratic socialists who now hide when it matters," he questioned again, adding that "normalcy and coexistence are never achieved through blackmail or by giving up rights and freedoms," he emphasized.

Finally, he warned that "the last few months have been, if we look back, the worst for our democracy in our country and especially for our coexistence," he concluded.
