Delays on Several AVE Lines Due to a New Breakdown in Barcelona

New day of delays in the railway network. A day after the black Monday across much of Spain due to cable theft in several areas of Toledo, which affected the high-speed line between Madrid and Andalusia and caused hours of delays to thousands of travellers between Sunday and Monday, there have been new incidents in the train network. This Tuesday, a breakdown caused by the dislodging of an axle during the manoeuvre of an empty train in the Can Tunis workshops in Barcelona has affected the circulation of several trains.

Additionally, shortly after 7 a.m., an incident occurred on the infrastructure at the height of l'Arboç, forcing trains to run with speed restrictions, increasing delays. Adif announced on X: "Due to an incident in a facility not belonging to Adif, some high-speed trains departing from Barcelona Sants may experience delays." The delays affect all operators: Renfe, Ouigo, and Iryo.
