The death of an individual in a hospital has increased the total number of fatalities to 217, recorded due to DANA and the floods that affected the province of Valencia on October 29.
These 217 deceased, all of whom have undergone autopsies, are fully identified, and in 213 cases, their families have already taken charge of their remains for funerals.
This is reflected in the historical accumulation report from the Data Integration Centre (CID), updated at 8 PM this Friday, November 15.

Of the 217 identifications of the deceased, 168 were made through fingerprint analysis and 45 through DNA, while four cases correspond to hospital identification during life.
Meanwhile, the 'ante mortem' offices set up by the National Police and the Civil Guard in collaboration with forensic doctors account for 14 active cases of missing persons reports, two fewer than at the close of Thursday's report at 8 PM.
Both parameters, active disappearances and the total number of fatalities, are different and should not be added together under any circumstances.
Related News
The active 'ante mortem' cases of missing persons correspond to reports where families have provided various data and facilitated biological samples at police offices, which will allow for the subsequent identification of their loved ones.
Thus, compared to the previous day's report, in the last 24 hours, one more deceased person has been recorded - with corresponding autopsy and identification report already completed - and two fewer active missing persons cases.
Meanwhile, the morgue set up at Fira Valencia, where all bodies are transferred from the City of Justice in Valencia once the autopsy is completed, has handed over to families the remains of 209 of the deceased by 8 PM this Friday, three more than the deliveries made by 8 PM this Thursday.
These 209 cases add to the four related to individuals who died after being admitted alive to a hospital. Thus, 213 families, out of a total of 217, have been able to take charge of their loved ones' remains to bid them a final farewell, following the issuance of the necessary documentation by the courts.
