Intercity has earned a valuable point from their visit to Antequera. The debut of the new coach, Daniel Fernández, ended in a one-one draw at El Maulí, where the Alicante team took the lead and the Malaga team equalized and could have won.
Pol Roigé and Borja Martínez were the main novelties for Intercity in Antequera. In addition, Ñito González and Elady Zorrilla shared the attack partnership.
The local team led the match at all times, led by their two wingers: Moroccan Siddiki and French Biabiany. Luismi Gutiérrez had the best chance of the first half for Antequera. His header went just over the crossbar.
Before halftime, Intercity could have taken the lead with a shot from Andreu Hernández that hit the crossbar and bounced on the line.
It was a warning of what would happen after halftime. Another corner, now expertly taken by Borja Martínez, was perfectly connected by Andreu with his left foot to place it next to goalkeeper Moreno's post.
Intercity almost scored a second goal through Ñito González, but the ball went just wide of the post. Just in the next play, Antequera equalized with a powerful shot from Moroccan Siddiki.
The Malaga team would have turned the game around a few minutes later, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the end, a point that the new coach will have to make good next Saturday at 3:30 PM in La Nucía against Yeclano.
