Dacia continues its streak of success in the Spanish market, positioning itself as the best-selling brand to private customers in May, with a total of 4,959 units sold. This achievement allows it to maintain the second position in the annual cumulative sales to private customers.
The indomitable Dacia Sandero remains the main protagonist of this leadership. For the twelfth consecutive year, it consolidates itself as the favourite vehicle of Spaniards, leading both the private channel and the total, with 16,155 units sold so far this year, nearly 3,000 more than in the same period last year. Its value-for-money ratio has made it a cornerstone of the national market.
The Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway 2025 are offered with two mechanical alternatives. The entry-level 1.0 TCe 90 HP (Petrol) features a three-cylinder turbo engine, efficient in consumption and well-balanced for daily use. It is paired with a manual gearbox and its price starts at 13,940 euros.
The second option is the 1.0 ECO-G 100 HP (LPG - Petrol/Liquefied Petroleum Gas), one of the most popular and advantageous options. It offers 101 HP and runs on both fuels, granting it the ECO label from the DGT. This allows significant fuel savings and the ability to drive without restrictions in Low Emission Zones (LEZ). It maintains the same boot capacity as the LPG tank is located in the spare wheel well.

The exterior design of the current range remains modern with aerodynamic lines, new colour options, and wheels. Inside, it can feature a touchscreen up to 8 inches compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard across all versions are Full LED headlights (dipped beam), emergency braking assistant, speed limiter, E-Call emergency call, traction and stability control, and lighting sensors.
The Stepway version stands out for its more crossover or SUV aesthetics, offering greater ground clearance and design details that give it a more robust and adventurous appearance.
Dacia achieved a 9.2% share in the private channel in May, showing significant growth compared to last year. This solid performance is supported by a well-defined product strategy, with four key models: the Sandero, Duster, Jogger, and the Spring, considered the most accessible electric model on the market.
The arrival of the new Dacia Bigster this spring of 2025 further strengthens the brand's offering, targeting the C-SUV segment with large dimensions, hybrid engines, and an ECO label, with a starting price of 24,590 euros.
