Dacia recorded 676,340 sales in 2024, marking a 2.7% growth compared to 2023. The year 2024 also represents a milestone in Dacia's history, surpassing the symbolic threshold of 9 million vehicles sold since 2004.
This growth is attributed by the brand to a policy focused on offering "the best value for money," the introduction of hybrid models complementing the sales success of LPG models, and models in the B segment.
Notably, the Sandero achieved 309,392 units, a 14.5% increase over 2023. It is the best-selling vehicle in Europe across all channels and the number one vehicle sold to private customers in Europe since 2017.
Following this, the Duster, updated with its third generation in the latter part of the year, accumulated 215,024 units, a 7.3% increase over 2023, becoming the top SUV sold to private customers in Europe since 2018 and the second vehicle sold to private customers in Europe behind the Sandero.
The Jogger achieved 96,440 units, a 2.4% increase over 2023, making it the second vehicle in the C segment, excluding SUVs, most sold to private customers in Europe.
The electric model Spring secured 22,884 units, a 63% decrease compared to 2023. Sales significantly dropped in 2024, partly due to reduced government incentives and the withdrawal of the first-generation model from the market for several months. The new version arrived at dealerships in September, allowing a recovery in order rates in the last quarter of the year.
In 2024, Dacia focused on electrifying its range by expanding its hybrid engine offerings: HYBRID 140 in Jogger and Duster and HYBRID 155 in Bigster, which becomes the first model within the Renault Group to benefit from this new engine.
In Spain, Dacia has solidified its position as one of the top-selling brands, with a 12.4% growth compared to the market's 7%. Its market share reaches 9.23%, achieving total sales of 55,198 units in 2024, establishing itself as the second best-selling brand to private customers in Spain.
The Dacia Sandero has once again demonstrated its popularity, becoming the best-selling car in Spain for the twelfth consecutive year. This model accounted for more than half of the brand's total sales, with 33,331 units sold.
The Dacia Duster SUV also enjoyed great success, with 9,036 units sold.
According to Denis Le Vot – CEO of Dacia, "we have once again demonstrated our ability to combine performance, robustness, and accessibility. Our results show the growing trust of customers in our models and reaffirm our strategy."
Regarding the outlook for 2025, Dacia enters an ambitious strategic phase with several important challenges, highlighting the arrival of the new Bigster SUV, which will compete in the C segment, one of the most competitive in Europe.
With Bigster, Dacia remains true to its values with a price starting at €24,590 for petrol versions and €29,290 for hybrid versions in Spain. The Bigster has been on sale since January 9, 2025, and will be available in the commercial network from spring 2025.
Dacia will also emphasize the electrification of its range by offering more hybrid engines, staying true to its strategy of providing simple and accessible vehicles. Additionally, by the end of 2027, with the new generation of the Sandero, a new 100% electric model will be added to its catalogue.
