Cyclist Dies and Two Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Bus

A 40-year-old cyclist has died, two have been seriously injured, and five others have sustained varying degrees of injuries this Thursday in an accident involving a TIB bus on the road from Pollença to Puerto de Pollença.

The accident occurred at midday when a bus hit a group of cyclists travelling on the Ma-22 road for reasons still unknown, according to SAMU 061.

Emergency services, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police of Pollença arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of one of the cyclists.

Two other men, aged 42 and 43, sustained serious injuries with multiple traumas and were taken to Son Espases Hospital. A woman suffered a less severe injury with a hip fracture and was taken to Inca Hospital.

Additionally, three people and a six-month-old baby were slightly injured in the accident and were treated at the scene. The others, two women aged 40 and 57 and a 37-year-old man, were taken to Muro Hospital.
