Cruz Roja will transport 40 elderly individuals, who are part of projects combating loneliness, to the Monastery of Santa Faz this Friday, 2nd May. This initiative is organised by ten volunteers and technical staff who will collect them from their homes and transport them to the event using two adapted vehicles, as announced by the organisation in a statement.

On Thursday, the day of the Santa Faz Pilgrimage 2025, Red Cross Alicante will mobilise a total of 21 volunteers and emergency technical specialists, along with three ambulances, a vehicle serving as a first aid post (PAPS), and lifeguards on bicycles equipped with first aid kits.

All these personnel will be deployed along the Pilgrim's route, in coordination with state security forces and other health and safety professionals, as detailed by the organisation.

According to the entity, this initiative aims to create a recreational and cultural space where elderly individuals can share a safe environment and visit the craft stalls and the monastery.
