Cristiano Ronaldo is already focused on this Sunday's final between Spain and Portugal for the Nations League. The Portuguese star highlighted some key aspects that could influence the match, including Lamine Yamal. Cristiano did not hesitate to acknowledge the talent of Barcelona's young winger: "I ask that the boy be allowed to grow calmly and not be put under so much pressure, so we can enjoy such talent in football for many years. I like him because my children like Lamine." He also noted that the young winger is in a very good environment to develop his skills.

The Portuguese player admitted that Spain has always been a step ahead of the Portuguese: "In history, since I started playing against them, they have been one of the best teams in the world. They have always had the best talents in the world, and now a good young generation with players like Pedri. Even the coach is very serious."

Another debate surrounding the final is the potential Ballon d'Or winner, which Cristiano has not hesitated to downplay, as he believes this award has lost meaning and credibility in its criteria. "There is no consensus, I no longer believe much in individual awards because I know what goes on behind the scenes."

The five-time winner of this award emphasized that Lamine has the potential to win it, but in his opinion, it should be awarded to the most outstanding player of the team that wins the Champions League.

CR7's Future

Cristiano does not want to think too much about his future and prefers to enjoy the moment, as he is aware that he does not have much time left on the pitch. What he has practically ruled out is his presence at the Club World Cup, although he has not wanted to comment too much on the future and has preferred to focus on this Sunday's final.

Before concluding the press conference, he joked with an Argentine journalist when asked if he could see himself playing on the same team as Messi. Cristiano assured that they have a good relationship, but his age makes him think it is very difficult. "I can never say I will never drink from this water," he joked, leaving an air of mystery.
