The Department of Social Welfare and Family of the Crevillent Town Hall announces the opening of the application period for financial aid aimed at covering debts on electricity and water bills. The beneficiaries must be family units with a monthly per capita income equal to or less than 600 euros, with outstanding debts on essential supplies (electricity, water, and gas) in their primary residence in 2024, and must have been registered at the address for at least six months. This grant is made possible thanks to a subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council valued at 96,731 euros, as reported by the Town Hall through the Councillor for Social Welfare and Family, María Jesús Alfonso Egea.

The councillor added that the application period ends on September 30th and emphasized the importance of this aid to mitigate as much as possible the consequences derived from the energy crisis, noting that these aids will cover "the totality of the bills (for electricity and water) submitted dated within the annual period of 2024."

Applications and documentation can be submitted from Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, at the 'Parc Nou' Senior Center. At this point, information about the necessary documentation will be provided. The aid will be granted in a single payment for the amount of the debt, and payments must be justified with receipts for the intended purpose.

The subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council is framed within benefits for extraordinary situations derived from the economic and energy crisis, as well as for hosting refugees from Ukraine.
