At Fitur, it's not all about business meetings and tourism presentations. Gastronomy plays a significant role, as evidenced by more than a dozen live showcookings held at Pavilion 7 of Ifema, at the Comunitat's stand.
Among these events, the 'Costa Blanca Wine Experience' was held on Wednesday night, showcasing the strength of Alicante Wines and highlighting the quality of these products and the wine potential of the region.
Led by the DO Vinos Alicante and the Wine Route, the Alicante Provincial Council presided over an event held in central Madrid, at the Kitchen Club, attended by around 200 people. The event was graced by the presence of the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, along with the Director of the Tourism Board, José Mancebo, and the President of the Provincial Council, Toni Pérez, as well as other officials from the DO Vinos Alicante, including its President, José Juan Reus, and the President of the Wine Route, María Miñano.
The event revolved around this native product with the tasting of various wines from 13 Alicante wineries, accompanied by typical local dishes. "It is one of our most distinctive elements and an attraction for tourists who choose us," expressed Toni Pérez.

The President of the Alicante Provincial Council stated that the province "has earned a reputation as one of the best places to eat, with wines of unparalleled quality featuring diverse varieties, textures, and intensities, wines that year after year garner national and international recognition and distinctions."
To accompany the wines, the Alicante city restaurant 'El Maestral' served Alicante sausages, coca amb tonyina, or caramelized loquats, as well as pericana, alioli, salmorreta, or salt-cured fish tartare, among many other dishes.
The wineries participating in this proposal include: Arráez, Bocopa, Finca Collado, Murviedro, MG Wines, Volver, Vinos Algueña, Fuego Lento, Santa Catalina del Mañán, Heretat de Cesilia, Teulada, Xaló, and Masos.
