The Costa Blanca to Feature Prominently at Upcoming Washington D.C. Tourism Convention

The Consell continues to advance its tourism relations with the United States. The Generalitat is convinced of the potential of the North American market and has secured an agreement to promote the destinations of the Valencian Community at the upcoming convention of the country's tour operators.

This Monday, the regional minister of Tourism, Marián Cano, held a working meeting with representatives of the 'United States Tour Operators Association' (Ustoa), one of the most significant tour operator associations in the United States. This meeting addressed preparations for Turisme CV's participation in the association's upcoming annual convention, to be held in early December in Washington D.C.

The Valencian Community will be one of the three featured destinations at the event, alongside Norway and Singapore. This event is expected to gather nearly a thousand industry professionals, providing a perfect showcase to advance the region's tourism promotion.

The regional minister emphasized the importance of achieving this collaboration with Ustoa as a "key platform to strengthen ties with major U.S. tour operators and to generate new business opportunities with agents specializing in high-value-added products."

This agreement is of vital importance to promote the destination of Alicante and the rest of the Valencian Community in the U.S. market, as the association includes more than 50 active operators with international activity and represents hundreds of destinations, airlines, and tourism companies.

This meeting is part of the Generalitat's trip to the United States to forge alliances that boost the market. Following the meeting with Ustoa, a meeting with Delta Airlines will take place this Tuesday to advance the future connection with New York and Manises.
